Applications are invited form the eligible Indian citizens who are Natives/Residents of the Union Territory of Puducherry for filling up of 141 vacancies in the post of Staff Nurse (Group “B”), in the pay Bank – 2 Rs: 9300 – 34800 + Grade Pay of Rs: 4600 in Indira Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, Karhirkamam, Puducherry – 605 009

Methodology for Selection:
1) 50% of marks in HSC of Equivalent and 50% of marks in Diploma or Degree in Nursing.
2) In addition to the above, 1.5 marks per every completed year of seniority form the date of registration of requisite technical qualification, in the Employment Exchange to the last date for receipt of duly filled in application will be added, subject to a maximum of 15 marks.
3) A deduction of 5% of marks will be made for every additional attempt.
Note: The qualifying marks will be calculated as above to the total of 115 marks (50+50+15)
Educational Qualifications:
a) Pass in HSC or its equivalent
b) Degree in Nursing/Diploma in General Nursing & Midwives or equivalent
c) Registration as a Nurse and Midwife equivalent in any state nursing council in india.
