You must pass the following requirements to apply to join the West Bengal Police as Lady Constable Position:
- You must be an Indian Citizen with domicile of west Bengal
- You must be Eighteen (18) years of age or older but not more than twenty seven (27) years
- It is essential that she should have certificate for completion of matriculation examination from West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or any other equivalent.
- Your weight needs to be under professional suitability clearance and height should be at least 160 centimeters

About Selection Procedure
There are five stages to complete for above said post.
- Physical Measurement
- Physical Efficiency Test
- Written Examination
- Personal Interview
- Medical Examination
First Physical Measurement should be done by WBP if found correct according to the requirements will be call for second stage i.e. PET which will consist of four hundred (400) meter race in 2 minutes. After clearing in this a written examination will be conducted by employer for ninety marks. If candidates qualifying in this will be call for personal interview which will be of ten marks and at last short listed candidates will be called for medical examination at the State Governmentdesignated Hospitals.
West Bengal Police Recruitment Board has published an advertisement for recruitment of lady constables in West Bengal Police Force. Indian Nationals with the domicile of West Bengal can apply and that too latest by 30th March 2012 through an application form. Application form will be available from 27th February 2012. Total 2940 vacancies are for the post of Lady Constables for all districts of West Bengal under the pay scale of Rs.5400-25200/- with grade pay of Rs.2600/-.
Eligibility: Candidates age should be above 18 years and even should be below 27 years. She should have passed matriculation examination from West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or any other equivalent qualifications. Candidates height should be at least 160 cms and weight should be proportional to age and height as per medical standard.
Selection will be through Physical Measurement, Physical Efficiency Test, Written Test, Interview and at last Medical Examination. After physical measurement, candidates will be called for physical efficiency test which will consist of 400 m race in 2 minutes. After clearing PET, shortlisted candidates will be called for an objective type written test which will be of 90 marks. Now, selected candidates will have to appear in an interview which will be of 10 marks and at last shortlisted candidates will be called for medical examination at the State Government designated Hospitals.
