Applications are invited from the candidates who are Domicile of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Pondicherry and Lakshadweep Island for the following posts at various airports in the above states in Southern Region. Total number of posts likely to be filled and the eligibility criteria for the posts is as follows. Reservation for Ex-Servicemen & PWD will be applicable as per norms.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Junior Assistant (Fire Service)-NE-4:
Qualification:
i) 10th Pass + 3 years’ approved regular Diploma in Mechanical/ Automobile/ Fire with minimum 50% marks (OR)
ii) 12th Pass (Regular Study) with 50% marks

Driving License:
a) Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License (OR)
b) Valid Medium Vehicle License issued at least one year before the date of advertisement (15/04/2012) (OR)
c) Valid LMV License issued at least two years before the date of advertisement.(15/04/2012) In case of (b) & (c), on qualifying the written test the candidate shall be informed in writing to produce a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License at the time of Driving Test. In case, the candidate fails to do so then he shall not be allowed to take Driving Test and be straightway disqualified for the further selection procedure.

Desirable:
Due weightage shall be given to a candidate possessing any one or more (subject to maximum limit of the following)
a) Computer Science as subject at 12th class level;
b) NCC ‘B’ Certificate
c) Relevant experience in an aviation/regular/industrial fire service.
d) Basic Fire Fighting Training Course from AAI Fire Training Establishment
(e) Sub Fire Officer Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur
Age: Up to 30 years.

PHYSICAL FITNESS
Eye Sight:
Distance Vision – 6/6 At Both Eyes Without Glasses.
Near Vision – N5 In Both Eyes Without Glasses.
Colour Vision – Should be Normal as determined by Ischihara’s charts.
Height: Not less than 167 cm.
Chest: 81 cm normal. Minimum expansion 5 cms
Weight: Not less than 55 Kg.
Hearing: Normal
Speech: Normal
Must not have undergone major operation by virtue of which his physical fitness to work in Fire Service has been impaired. Should be capable of undergoing physical strain for prolonged periods.

Selection Process:
The candidates will have to appear for written test, physical measurement, driving test, endurance test, and interview. The candidates will be allowed to appear in driving test / physical endurance test subject to passing the written test. Appointment to the post of Junior Assistant (FS) is subject to fulfilling eligibility conditions and successful passing of Basic Training Course for a period of four months. During training, incumbent is entitled for stipend as per the rules.

Disqualification:

Physical deformity, chronic diseases, colour blindness, night blindness, squint eye, flat foot, bow legs, knocking knee and refractive error will be considered as disqualification.

Assistant (Office)-NE-5
Qualification:
I) Degree from a recognized University.
II) Typing Speed of 40 w.p.m. With Computer Knowledge.
Experience: Two (02) years relevant experience in the concerned discipline
Age: Up to 30 years.
Selection Process: Written test, Typing Test and Interview

Senior Assistant (Statistics)-NE-6
Qualification: P.G. In Economics/ Statistics /Maths.
Experience: Two (2) years relevant experience in the concerned discipline
Age: Up to 30 years.
Selection Process: Written test/Interview

Senior Assistant (OL-Hindi)-NE-6
Qualification:
i) Post Graduation Degree in Hindi along with English as a subject at graduation level or Post Graduation in English along with Hindi as a subject at graduation level. (or)
ii) Post Graduation Degree in any other subject other than Hindi/English from a recognized University along with Hindi /English as a compulsory / optional subject at graduation level. (or)
iii) Post Graduation Degree in any other subject other than Hindi / English from a recognized University along with Hindi/English as a medium of education at Graduation level and Hindi/English as a compulsory / optional subject or as a medium of examination. (or)
iv) Graduation Degree from any recognized University along with Hindi and English as compulsory / optional subject or either of the two as a medium of examination and other as a compulsory / optional subject, along with a recognized diploma /certificate course in translation (from Hindi to English or vice-versa) or an experience of two years of translation work from Hindi to English or vice-versa from Central / State Govt. Offices or Established Institution etc. including Undertakings of Govt. of India.

Desirable: Knowledge of Hindi Typing
Age: Up to 30 years.

Senior Assistant (Nursing) -NE-6
Qualification:
i) Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery or equivalent.
ii) (a) Registered as Nurse; and
(b) Registered as Mid wife or equivalent with any State Nursing Council;
iii) Appropriate knowledge of Computer application will be preferred.
Age: Up to 35 years
Experience: Two years relevant experience in the discipline
Selection Process: Written test/ Interview
